Collection: Sara Whyte

Hi there, I'm Sara, a crafter and artist originally from Southland, now proudly based in the vibrant community of Kaiapoi. My passion lies in creating beautiful pieces using glass beads and semi-precious stones for jewellery, as well as knitting with wool and other natural fibres whenever possible.

In 2017, I was thrilled to win 2nd place in the Woodend flower show for a piece of knitting, which was a fantastic recognition of my love for crafting. For me, crafting is not just a hobby; it's a way to surround myself with pretty things that I've created with my own hands.

I find joy in making practical objects beautiful and adding splashes of colour to things that might otherwise be a bit plain. In my spare time, you'll often find me at home, surrounded by my partner, cat, and dog, affectionately known as 'the hairy beasts,' crafting away and enjoying the peace that creating brings me.

I'm excited to be a part of The Waimakariri Artisan Craft Co-op, where I can share my creations with others who appreciate handmade beauty as much as I do. I look forward to connecting with you and sharing my craft with the world.
